Alex has over twenty years of experience producing and managing live and pre-recorded radio broadcasts, podcasts, audio dramas, and digital content including videos and animations.
He has overseen the production of flagship BBC radio shows and podcasts, working with eminent entrepreneurs, cabinet ministers, actors and musicians. He’s gone scuba diving with a microphone for BBC World Service and cycled through the night with microphones strapped to one of his many bikes for a Slow Radio project.
Alex has also managed significant campaigns for a range of clients including the NHS, Penguin Random House and ABRSM.

Sarah has been creating and making radio programmes for over three decades. She has produced daily music shows, documentaries, quizzes, magazine programmes, BBC Proms and studio music sessions with an array of well known names and debut artists, winning several awards along the way.
As a presenter Sarah has enjoyed exploring illustrator Axel Scheffler’s attic for In the Studio on BBC World Service and often contributes to Radio 3’s Record Review.
She plays the oboe, has an HND in jewellery design and manufacture, and recently cycled from the top to the bottom of France and across Czechia.

Marion produces and coordinates Tandem’s weekly show broadcast on BBC Radio 3 and the LPO podcast, besides creating audio and visual content for a range of projects.
She recently project managed Tandem’s large scale production of audio dramas for the NHS Leadership Academy, before putting on a bee-keeper suit to record The Hum of the Hive for BBC Slow Radio.
Marion is also a pianist, organist and music teacher who enjoys pedalling, both in the organ loft and on her many cycling adventures.
Executive Producer

Sam spent over a decade working as a radio producer for the BBC on a number of Sony Award nominated programmes before moving to the freelance world as a music producer and composer.
He has worked with Tandem since 2018 and is currently the executive producer of Radio 3’s weekly live show Sunday Morning, while producing other programmes including Inside Music and Clive Myrie at Christmas.
Sam has also written soundtracks for a variety of short films, and finds inspiration walking on the moors and playing squash.
Assistant Producer

Jacob began his audio career as a trainee with the European Parliament's own radio and podcast unit, producing news and podcasts in 24 languages. He then worked at the BBC where his remit included getting live music on BBC Radio 3, Radio Cymru and Radio Wales for the BBC National Orchestra of Wales and the Proms in London. He also produced a podcast about BBCNOW's North Wales tour for BBC Sounds there, presented by Ryan Bancroft.
He has a master's in broadcast journalism, with BBC World Service experience and most recently he worked on investigations with Swedish Television.
Jacob is also a trained oboist and keen cyclist, and loves watching and creating documentaries.

Doroti enjoys a diverse career in music as a freelance flautist, teacher, and broadcast assistant.
Alongside her frequent appearances with the London Firebird Orchestra, Doroti’s notable performance highlights include performing at the Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club as well as playing in the London Production of Marie Curie – The Musical and the UK & Ireland tour of the Charlie and The Chocolate Factory. Besides her work as a performer, Doroti teaches at multiple schools in London, finding joy in sharing her love of music with her students.
Doroti is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, and she also holds a Master of Performance Degree with Distinction from the Royal College of Music.

Faith has worked with Tandem since 2018, producing Sunday Morning and Inside Music for BBC Radio 3, and over 70 episodes of LPO Offstage for the London Philharmonic Orchestra. She produced and presented a feature for Radio 3, Everybody Likes Music, Don’t They? and several episodes of In the Studio for BBC World Service.
As a voice-over artist she received praise for her narration of Tandem’s BBC Ideas film, World Without Humans.
Faith is also a professional singer, freelancing with various ensembles. Her band Archie released their debut EP in 2021.

Freya Hellier’s experience as a broadcast producer includes working for BBC Classical Music TV, The Proms, BBC Radio 3, 4 and World Service. She’s made programmes in almost every radio format, from large outside broadcasts to drive-time shows, documentaries and features.
For Tandem, Freya is a regular producer of Radio 3’s Sunday Morning.
Beyond the BBC, Freya has produced podcasts for Wellcome Trust, the Open Data Institute, Pfizer, Universal Music, The Barbican, The Overseas Development Institute and the Empathy Museum.

Ben Dosage runs Studio Dosage, a 3D design and animation company based in Bristol.
His strikingly artistic, computer-generated visuals have brought attention to brands including Selfridges, Cat, Nike, Louis Vuitton and Toyota. Ben also creates music videos for major recording artists.
For Tandem, Ben’s projects include the prescient and haunting BBC Ideas short, World Without Humans, and visions of what future farming might look like in a series of videos for Rothamsted Research.

Since training on the prestigious Tonmeister course at the University of Surrey, Morgan has worked on BBC radio shows including Private Passions, Gardeners’ Question Time, Random Edition, Something Understood, Inside Music, Words and Music and Jazz on 3, besides numerous one-off documentaries.
Sarah and Alex have been working with Morgan for twenty years, and he is Tandem’s go-to sound engineer, for his calm, technical efficiency, excellent musical ear and wry observations.
